Our School Council meetings take place twice each half term. We have children from Year 1 through to Year 6 represented. We are good role models to all the other children in St John’s.
During our meetings we discuss different issues that arise and think of ways to improve our school and how we can help and support others.
During the Autumn Term 2019 we have:
. Organised and run the Macmillan Cake Sale which raised over £250.00.
. Discussed how we can change the rewards for our House Point total each half term, making them more personal to the children. Every child in the school voted and the winning house got to watch Toy Story 4. From now on, each house will choose their own reward through voting for their favourite option.
. Led the Anti-Bullying assembly where we talked about the importance of being different. We all wore ‘odd socks’ to school that day to show we appreciate each other for who we are.
