Adapted from the Gospel of 25th October 2026 Cf. Matthew 22:34-40 (The 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time)

Some of the leaders gathered together. One of the leaders was an expert in the Law and he asked Jesus a question to try and catch him out. “Teacher,” he said, “which is the greatest commandment in God’s Law?” Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and the first commandment. But there is a second commandment like it, that is: ‘You must love your neighbour as yourself.’ All the teaching of the Law and the Prophets follows from these two commandments.”

Year 3 Greek Salad Food Tasting

This week, following on from our Year 3 Greek Salad food-tasting activity, we were delighted to welcome and thank our wonderful Year 3 parents and carers who kindly gave up their time to support the children with developing their food preparation skills.

The children had the opportunity to practise their cutting skills, learning how to use knives safely and carefully under close adult supervision. Developing these practical skills is an important part of encouraging independence and confidence, as well as helping children to understand the importance of food preparation and kitchen safety.

A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who volunteered their time and helped to make this activity such a valuable and enjoyable learning experience for our Year 3 children. Your support is very much appreciated!
