The 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year A
Jesus said, “There was once a landowner who planted a vineyard, rented it to some tenant farmers and then went off far away. When the fruit-season came, he sent some of his servants to the farmers to collect his fruit. But the farmers seized his servants. He then sent his son to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said. But the farmers said to one another, ‘Look – here’s the heir: come on, let’s take over his inheritance.’ So they seized the son, threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. Now when the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those farmers?” “He’ll bring those bad men to a bad end,” was the reply. “Then he’ll rent the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruit at harvest time.”

Friendly Reminders!
Please be reminded that dogs are not allowed on school property, past the front gate. We also can not allow the use of scooters past the gate as they could knock younger siblings over or damage property. If your child is bringing a scooter to school, please have them push it once they pass the front gate.
We have noticed an increase in lateness to school – the school gates open at 8:30am and will close promptly at 8:45am. Please ensure you have left plenty of time to allow for possible traffic jams or issues with parking.

A massive thank-you from Mrs Curtis for all the kind donations and support she received after running the Barns Green half-marathon to raise funds for our new hut facilities. She has raised an incredible total so far of £1705! The Just Giving link will be open until tomorrow so we would be very grateful for any further donations to make the total even higher! We are so proud of her and so grateful for all her hard work, time, training and effort she has put into raising money for the school – she’s a superstar!

Under the new Free School Milk provision, if you are entitled to Expanded or Targeted Free School Meals funding, your child is also eligible for free milk at breaktime.
Milk will no longer be provided at lunchtime, due to the removal of parents ordering this and with allergies, we feel it is safer for milk to no longer be provided to all children.
If you are not on Free School Meals, you can still order milk for your child at breaktime via Cool Milk: Cool Milk – Little Sips, Big Adventures
Show young people are not alone with their mental health by wearing yellow for World Mental Health Day which is on 10th October. We will mark this day on Thursday 8th October instead. Children can wear all yellow and green, or just an accessory. They do not have to wear school uniform on the day.
