Adapted from Matthew 13:1-23, The 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year A
Jesus left the house and sat by the lakeside, but such crowds gathered round him that he got into a boat and sat there. The people all stood on the beach, and he told them many things in parables. He said, “Imagine a sower going out to sow. As he sowed, some seeds fell on the edge of the path, and the birds came and ate them up. Others fell on patches of rock where they found little soil and sprang up straight away, because there was no depth of earth; but as soon as the sun came up they were scorched and, not having any roots, they withered away. Others fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. Other seeds fell on rich soil and produced a great crop. This is like those people who hear my words and understand them; they yield a great harvest and produce now a hundredfold, now sixty, now thirty. Listen, anyone who has ears!”

ISS Catering Update
You should have now received an invitation to download the FEED School Meals app from ISS Catering.

This is from the Catering company who are taking over from Chartwells in September. You will be able to view the Autumn/Winter 3-week menu this week, and orders will be able to be placed in August.
Please note the following features of the app:
- You can order for the whole term in one go, or set recurring or default orders, such as a vegetarian meal four days a week and a packed lunch on Monday’s.
- Auto top-up can be switched on so the account balance is topped up automatically when it runs low.
- Multiple children can be managed under one parent account, even across different schools and year groups.
- Orders can be placed or cancelled, up until 9am on the day, so children can still have a school meal even if the order is placed that morning.
If your child requires an adapted menu, FEED will invite you via email in the coming weeks to provide them

RESPECT Assembly
This weeks RESPECT assembly was about winning and loosing and dealing with disappointment (in relation to sports day).
We explored emotions around winning and loosing and how feeling disappointed is ok but we need to learn how to move on from this and be a ‘good sport’. We discussed what this means, why it is important and how we can demonstrate being a good sport, particularly on sports day. We also talked about competitive sports and how competition can help us to improve and develop our skills further, and that if we loose, we can use it as an opportunity for growth, therefore turning it into a positive learning experience!
Fingers crossed we can put being a good sport into practice next week!
Years 5 & 6 Drama Workshop
A big thank you to Mr McEwan for delivering a wonderful drama workshop for our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils on Monday. The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a range of engaging activities that encouraged them to use their imagination, build their confidence and work together in teams. It was fantastic to see the children getting involved with such enthusiasm and creativity. We are very grateful to Mr McEwan for giving up his time and providing such an inspiring and memorable experience for our pupils!
