The 25th Sunday of Ordinary Time, Year A
Jesus said to his disciples: “The kingdom of heaven is like a landowner going out at daybreak to hire workers for his vineyard. He made an agreement with the workers for one denarius a day, and sent them to his vineyard. Then at various times throughout the day, even right up to the eleventh hour, the landowner hired and sent more workers into his vineyard. In the evening, he said to his manager, ‘Call the workers and pay everyone one denarius each.’ The ones who had worked all day grumbled at the landowner, complaining that he paid the men who came last the same amount as them. The landowner said, ‘My friends, I am not being unjust to you. Did we not agree on one denarius? Take your earnings and go. I choose to pay the last-comer as much as I pay you. Have I no right to do what I like with my own? Why be envious because I am generous?’ Thus the last will be first, and the first, last.”

Support our wonderful Mrs Curtis as she runs her first HALF-MARATHON!
On Sunday 27th September, Mrs Curtis will be attempting her first ever Half Marathon at Barns Green! She has been training all summer, in the heat and it has been tough! But it is for a very good cause: she has donated funds to St Catherine’s Hospice with her entry fee. And Mrs Curtis would also like to fundraise for our wonderful school as we are suffering yet more cuts to our already over stretched budget.
You will have seen our amazing new outside classroom, long overdue, which we are very excited to have at last! However, we currently cannot afford to add a toilet and sink unit to this classroom. This is much needed so that the classroom can work as a self-contained unit for many different activities. If you can kindly donate any amount, however small, to Mrs Curtis’ Just Giving link, we would be extremely grateful.

Have you completed your First Holy Communion? Do you attend Mass at St John the Evangelist in Horsham? If so, we would love for you to join our Altar Serving team! Serving is a great way to become more involved in the Mass! No experience is required as we provide lots of training and support. We welcome everyone who has done their First Holy Communion and wants to take part. If you are interested, please speak to either Grahame, Jasper or Nyah after any of the Sunday Masses. Year 6 Residential Trip
Our Year 6s have had a wonderful stay at Runway’s End residential centre this week! We are so proud of how they have tackled this week, showing adventurous attitudes and working brilliantly as a team. Well done Year 6 for embodying our school values!
