From the Gospel of Sunday 19th October Cf. Luke 18:1-8
Jesus wanted to teach his disciples that they should always pray and never give up. So he told them a story. Jesus said, “There was a judge in a certain town who had neither fear of God nor respect for any other person. In the same town there was a widow who kept on coming to him and saying, ‘I want justice from you against my enemy!’ For a long time the judge refused, but at last he said to himself, ‘Maybe I have neither fear of God nor respect for any other person, but since she keeps pestering me I must give this widow her just rights, or she will continue coming and worry me to death.’” Then Jesus said, “If even the unjust judge eventually helped this woman who didn’t give up, then how much more will God, who is good, help those who pray to him every day.

Harvest Festival
On Tuesday 21st October we will be celebrating Harvest festival in school.
The children will be taking part in an assembly to show what they have been learning about related to Harvest time and how it links to our Catholic Social Teaching values.
Each year, at Harvest, we think about those who are less fortunate than ourselves and in need of essentials such as food and toiletries.
Therefore, please can we ask your children to bring in ‘Harvest’ donations on Tuesday 21st.
We will collect all the goods and be giving them to Horsham Matters to distribute to families in need.
As we are fast approaching the festive season they are also asking, this year, for Christmas donations too.
We have been sent a list of goods they need and would like so please can each child bring in a gift for the Harvest Festival from the suggested list below
